My dear Ahmad,

May you be successful and in good health, God willing. I received your letters from Kuwait and Lebanon. I also got your recent letter «1» from Syria, in which you had asked me to give the sum of three thousand to Mr. Sami`i. «2» He is not here, nor do I know where he is. Please inform me of your welfare constantly with different addressees. An address which is perhaps better than the others, is that of our Haj Kuwaiti:
