Mr. Tarong Shin (?), President and Mr. Mam Wan Dong (?), Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam,

I received your message of condolence on the tragic martyrdom of the beloved president and prime minister of our country. I appreciate your sympathy and kindness. You, who were under the oppression and tyranny of the criminal America and put up with the bombardment of these bloodthirsty colonialists and were able to come out of the fight triumphantly, are quite aware of our situation. You know that our heroic and honorable nation has gone through difficult stages and has had to put up with all types of unfair accusations to the extent that Western mass media have accused us of buying weapons from and having ties with the occupying Israel with a view to isolate us from the free and revolutionary nations.
