Letter [to Founding members of Jami`ah az-Zahra' Qum]

[His Holiness Imam Khomeini, the Great Leader of the Islamic Revolution and Founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran,
After Greetings, Women's theological schools and other centers with corresponding goals are active with different programs in Qum. There is possibility of creation of such institutes in the future. After your holiness' instruction on drawing up plans, some of these centers have referred to us repeatedly inquiring what the duty of such schools and institutes is up to the completion of construction work of the Jami`ah az-Zahra' Institute.
The founding board appointed by your holiness believes that the institutes and schools of theology for women in Qum should be directed under Jami`ah az-Zahra' Institute with coordinated and similar syllabus. Foregoing this, problems would arise, as have come about. We seek your eminence's viewpoint.

My view is what has been written. Prior to completion of the construction work of Jami`ah az-Zahra, ' all the theology schools of women in Qum should continue their activity with a single syllabus under supervision of the respected board of directors of Jami`ah az-Zahra' Institute so that no problem would arise and that difference of taste would not trigger discord. After completion of the building, all the respected women may continue education in the Institute. God willing, you will be successful in serving Islam, the country and the respected women. May God's peace, mercy and blessings be upon you!
