His Holiness Hadrat Ayatullah al-`Uzma Imam Khomeini, may his shadow endure over Muslims,
After greetings, it is kindly requested to provide answer to the following question:
Is imprisonment of the" accomplice in murder" «1» among the rights of people concerned with the owners of the blood «2», as in the case of retaliation that could be waived through forgiveness by the family of the deceased (as is understood from the appearance of etiology as well as notification and incident of context of narrations confirm the purport and priority) or is it part of (divinely decreed) punishment" hadd" and among the" rights of God"?
