In view of the appointment of Brigadier General Zahir Najad as the joint chief of staff of Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and as per the endorsement of the Supreme Defense Council in its extraordinary session of Mehr 9,1360 AHS and on the basis of clause (d) of article 110 of the Constitution, Colonel `Ali Sayyid Shirazi, commander of the northwest operations is hereby proposed as commander of the ground forces of Islamic Republic of Iran's Army.
