In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Considering spiritual dimension of victories

I congratulate the New Year to all worlds Muslims, oppressed people of the world, the noble people of Iran, the gentlemen, all those engaged in serving at the frontlines or behind the warfronts and all those involved in this revolution and making sacrifices, getting martyred, missed in action and taken prisoners and hope that the New Year will be a happy year for our nation and oppressed peoples of the world.
All these victories, failures, rules and superpowers are transient. We are sitting here, but saving your reverence, 100 years later there will be no news of us. Everything will be gone. If we emerge victorious, it is gone; if we suffer defeat, it is gone; if we command power, it is gone; if we do not command power, it is gone. What remains is with us. What remains is we and what we carry to the other world. We should think of serving, a service that will be an asset for us in hereafter. Winning, emerging victorious and conquering all these without spiritual dimension will all be nothing but defeat. In fact, those who are victorious in the sight of people are more broken. If these big powers that were, are and will be in the world do not command the dimension that brings them happiness, all is defeat. A few days of eating, sleeping, committing crime and treason and then dying. The door in this world will be closed down and the door of the next world will be opened. Our book of deeds will be opened. This world will bear witness for us. All are present. We should think of helping God." If ye help Allah, He will help you." «1» The verse does not mean war or isolation, not even progress and defeat. Help is a concept that should find expression within man. If we emerge victorious in all fronts, but not intending to help God but helping ourselves, struggling to capture somewhere, we have not helped God and God will not fulfill the promise He has given. If He does, it is a special favor that has nothing to do with us. That which God has promised is that" If ye help Allah, He will help you and will make your foothold firm". This means that you should open the front of assistance, God will also open. You should work for God, advance for God, struggle for God, perform things for God. One who is at the frontlines should be there for God. One who is behind the frontline should act for helping God. One who is in charge of army affairs should take the charge for God. One who is in charge of the country's affairs should take charge for God. One who serves in the Islamic Consultative Assembly should be there for God, for God's help. Finally, if we all help God, God will indisputably fulfill His promise. If there is defect, it is because of the flaws in us. If in our imagination we are emerging victorious but not intended to help God and for advancement of divinely purposes, God will not help us. Divinely purposes signify helping the oppressed, the needy and advancing the commands of Islam, repelling oppression against oppressed people for God. We act because God has ordered. If God had ordered us to sit at home, then we would go home to sit for God. When God says:" And fight them" «2» This fight is for God, for obeying Him. When it is for obeying Him, victory and defeat make no difference, because its divinely aspect is victory. That which deals with spirituality and a different world and is capital for us, it makes no difference whether we suffer defeat or emerge victorious. If this is not the case, it is again all the same. In fact, the defeat of victories is greater.

Not becoming annoyed with people's words in divinely obedience

We should endeavor to correct this sense. If we are in charge of government affair, we should make efforts to work for God. To work for God signifies observing what God has ordered. We should act according to what He has said. God has said that we should take care of the destitute, the weak and the poor. We should fulfill their requirements. When we rendered this service, this means we have helped God. Helping God signifies helping His creatures and its religion. We should help God's devotees for God, because they are His family. If we do not emerge victorious in warfronts, we are victorious here. If this does not find reality, we have been defeated. This is the criteria and we should consider this. In any victory irrelevant to God we should not be proud and happy beyond the ordinary extent and in any defeat you should not feel humiliated, because we did not want to be defeated for which to feel disgraced. We want to obey God Who has ordered us to stand up against oppression. We obey as much as we can afford. If we can we will fight the oppressor. If we could not, we would do our duty. We have been ordered to fight the tyrants. God will punish them by our hand. We fight in obedience. We should secretly and entirely obey Him. Whatever we do, we should obey Him. If we preach, it should be in obedience to God. If we listen to preach, it should be in obedience to God. If we fight, it should be for God, for His obedience. If we make peace, it should be in obedience to God. Wherever He has ordered to do that, we do that; wherever He has ordered to do this, we do this. We should be like this. We should not imagine we have outlaid something. Everything is from Him. We do not have anything to spend. We only presume to have something. Everything is from Him. Whatever we imagine to have is from Him. We only keep trust. This trust will one day return to Him. If we have, as we imagine, it is not ours. We are mistaken. All the afflictions in the next world is result of man's ignorance. Man imagines being something. Since he fancies being something, he wants to dominate others. Since he seeks everything for him, he falls into adversity. Happy are those who want everything for Him. To want everything for Him signifies wanting things for His creatures, for God's commands. If we are defending in the war imposed upon us and driven out the corrupt war-mongers, it is because God has ordered to defend. We defend. If God had ordered to wage war, we would do so. Now that He has ordered to defend, we defend. As long as they are engaged with these seditious acts, we also defend. We obey God's command. Let whoever says whatever he wants. If it is for God, we will not be uneasy with people's critics. Everyone says a word, subsuently words are made. If you stand and obey God day and night, something will be told against you. If you fight for God, something will be told against you. You are not immune from people's tongue, as the Holy Prophet was not. So many things were spread against him. Against the Commander of the Faithful also many things were said. However, since they acted for God, he would not be inconvenient if let us suppose people ask if the Commander of Faithful said prayer. Did he say prayer that he was killed in a mosque? He will not be bothered by such words. If he is uneasy, it is because a human being is so, not because he has said something about him. If prophets were unhappy, it was because he asked why God's devotees should consider them to be independent, work for them and be engaged in corruption. They sympathized for this. I consider it likely that the utterance of the Prophet (s) :" No Prophet experienced the afflictions I did." to carry this meaning. I deem it likely that the knowledge enjoyed by the Prophet of Islam was not enjoyed by others whatever stations they commanded were not comparable to those of the Prophet of Islam. The greater the stations, the more one will feel annoyed with the sins committed in the world. If he hears that one in a corner of the world has suffered trouble, he will be uneasy, not because this has happened in his city or country committed against his relatives, but because one has been oppressed in the world. That is why you see the Commander of Faithful makes that statement when he pulls out the thorn from the leg of an infidel who had to pay tribute. He said:" If any Muslim dies of grief after all this he is not to be blamed but rather there is justification for him before me." «3» He hates oppression per se, not the oppression done against him. He loves the good per se and because it is good. Whoever does the good to the other, he likes because it is good. Anyone who commits oppression against another, he feels inconvenient because oppression is hated intrinsically. That is why a man should know who he is, where he is and where he will go. All these situations will come to an end, but our book of deeds will not be closed. It is there in the next world. If the veil is removed here, we will see what we have done. Others will also see what it is if God's concealing attribute was non-existent.

God's disobedience in sabotage and dealing a blow at unity

We should strive to obey God, who has ordered us to be with one another and to be united. If one says a word to harm this unity, one will be a sinner, a traitor. His sin is so great that might disturb a country. If one tries to sabotage this unity, the unity now existing among our nation, between the government and the nation, one has committed a sin. Anyone disturbing this unity, has disobeyed God, not to mention that treason to the Islamic Republic. We should bear in mind that God has ordered us to be friend with each other and not be engaged in strife. God has prescribed unity and we want unity for God. No one can disturb this unity. This is a divinely unity. This is the" hand of God". Hand of God is above all hands. No one can disturb it. If one urges towards unity to succeed in making money, one has been indulged in satanic practice. Such effort will not be impressive; it will produce dire consequences for man.
We should seek to strengthen our unity. The nation and government should not imagine that the nation is separate from government. We are all part of one caravan that is moving towards that world. We should obey God and stay with one another. If this is the case, it is no wrong with victory. This is the victory that God grants. This is a success granted by God. We accept such a victory wholeheartedly, as it is God's gift. If God forbid, this is not the case, and we obtain victory by force of sword or gun and consider victory as our own, this is not victory. This is defeat. You might imagine that it is victory, but if the curtains are removed, you will see it is a big defeat. It should be. For obedience of God Who has ordered to develop unity, you should improve unity and not indulge in discord. We should have unity. We should preserve our unity. Unity is already there, but it should persist. We should continue with unity. We should not listen to one who God forbid wants to create discord. There are, of course, individuals who want to make corruption. But when a nation wants to create unity for God and wants to be united with others, one will no longer care for the words of one who wants to introduce corruption. One who is weak will listen to corrupt people. If one is weak in spiritual and divinely aspect, then corruption will impress one. The impact will gradually grow. Suddenly, one will develop into the contrast. But if we strengthen the spiritual side, we will act for God. We will be from God and act for Him. We will return to Him." We are from God and to Him shall we return." «4» He has sent us and we return to Him. If we strengthen this aspect in our heart and believe that we are from Him and we should do whatever He has ordered, we will succeed. He has told us to be with each other. If we are with each other, no one can do any harm. We should be with each other for God.

Iranian nation's dispensation with Islam source of enmities

This is God's help. This is an assistance in which there is no error. The helps that God grants are impeccable. We help Him. We, the weak servants, help God's servants for Him and He considers this help to the weak to be a help to Him due to His many favors despite the fact that He is glorified from any need to the world. He considers helping the weak and the innocent people to be the same as helping Him, saying:" If you help God," What does helping God mean? Who are we to help God? Who is the world? All creatures of the world are nothing. The help we render to God's religion and servants, God has counted this help as helping Him out of His favor, saying:" If you help God," We know that God does not need our assistance. We help His servants and religion and God has accepted out of His kindness that this is helping Him. We have no doubt that God, the Absolute Rich, has said if you help Him, He would help us. If we weak ones help Him, He will also help us. This is a rational premise. He has said that we should be with each other. If we obey this order of God, anyone make any statement will not affect us. Any rumor is brewed, will be foiled. Any and all fabrications- the propaganda efforts launched abroad and everywhere- will be thwarted, because we have solidified the base by developing unity for God. Our unity is not for reaching a post or making a profit for personal purposes. God has said to be united, we are united for Him. The unity that is for God will thwart any trick, because this is a trick intended for God, enmity with God. When we did this for God if one raises a voice, one has opposed to God, because we are doing for Him. They are showing enmity because we are acting for Him. The enmities today are because we are working for Islam. Foregoing this, we are nothing. They see if the scope of Islam is expanded, hypocrisy will be terminated, infidelity will come to its end, all these things will be destroyed and powers will be paralyzed. They observed that a small wave of Islam has emerged here, but now there is talk of it in the East and the West. They are afraid of this talk. Today Iran is talk of the day everywhere. They are afraid of this consideration. It is not because of Iran's 20,40 or 50 million population, but because a divinely transformation has overtaken the people, leading them to be united and breaking a big power- satanic power of the former regime-, and standing against all powers bravely. They have firmly clenched their fists crying," Neither East nor West". If the East gets along with us and does not want to treat us with its Eastern pomp, we are not men of war. If the West is also like this, we are not. Either of them planning to transgress, we will stand to our last one against them.

Divinely assistance

If we believe in our heart that assistance of the Islamic country is the same as helping God and that helping God's servants is equal to God's Assistance, helping the oppressed is the assistance of God- if this sense is ingrained in our heart, we should not fear anything. Thank God we will not fear and no one can defeat us. We are victorious everywhere. In all fronts, warfronts, the fronts of peace, let us say hospital, everywhere we are victorious. I hope that God Almighty grants us success so that we can attain to the purpose sought by prophets. I hope we are together and lead this caravan with one another to the destination and return this trust to its owner.
