Letter [to Sayyid Ahmad Khomeini]

«۱»- in regards to the footnotes of this letter, Sayyid Ahmad Khomeini narrates:al-Islam Shaykh Nasrullah Khalkhali was a sincere friend of the Imam in Najaf, who administered his financial affairs. «۲»- Mr. Diba'i was Mr. Khalkhali's accounts party in Tehran.   «۳»- We (the ones responsible in the financial affairs and the payers of Imam Khomeini's monthly stipends to the seminary students) were never insufficient in the monthly stipend for Qum; furthermore, we were not in need of funds from Najaf; after a while we were also not in need of funds from Tehran. Therefore, the Imam urged us to send the sum to Najaf if we incur more (in other letters this issue is mentioned).   «۴»- By Aqa is meant Ayatullah Pasandideh.   «۵»- Sayyid Muhammad Sadiq Tehrani, Imam Khomeini's representative who was exiled after expiration of his power of attorney.   «۶»- By Aqa Rida is meant the son of Ayatullah Lavasani.   «۷»- Following the assassination of Lt. Gen. Teymour Bakhtiyar by SAVAK the government of Iran thought it probable that the Ba`athist regime of Iraq may want to terrorize Hadrat Imam and ascribe it to the Iranian government and so they spread rumors to this effect.
