Speech [Solidarity of the oppressed nations against superpowers-growing awareness of the nation in the face of the plots]

In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful

I warn the Iranian nation and other oppressed nations of the world against the problems the opponents of Islam want to bring about for Islam. The greater the volume of sabotages, the more solidarity should exist among oppressed nations of the world. The basic point is that the arrogant powers of the world, those taking advantage of the Islamic countries and the oppressed countries have felt threatened and because they felt that Iran is the source of general uprising of Muslims and the oppressed people of the world, they concentrated all their power either on propaganda or sabotage in Iran. All our brothers across the globe-as it has been said, some brothers from Pakistan have come here-and all the brothers in faith whom God Almighty has called brothers should note that if this center of opposition to all superpowers is, God forbid, hurt, Islam will be isolated for long years to come. Since all our brothers in faith everywhere are interested in Islam and see Islam useful for life in this and the next world they must keep in mind that all the powers of the world have mustered up all the military, propaganda and sabotage effort so as to contain this Islamic country from which all initiatives against the Eastern and Western superpowers have started. They want to nip this system in the bud so that other places are not impressed by it. They also fear that in the same way that their influenced was curtailed in Iran, it may be cut off in other places.

In the same way in which they were mobilized to suppress the Islamic Revolution in Iran out of their fear, all our Muslim brothers wherever they are and the oppressed people of the world under the domination of satanic powers must bear in mind that they must preserve this source of opposition to superpowers. If this source, God forbid, falls apart, it will be a defeat to all the oppressed, the Muslims of the world and Islam in all the Islamic countries. If this God-sent power which made it possible for the nation to render ineffective all the powers arrayed against the country and which made it possible for the nation to cut off all hands from its resources is protected, the same will hopefully happen in all the Islamic countries and all the oppressed countries under the domination of superpowers.

If foreign and domestic observers notice they will see that the things which have taken place in Iran are unprecedented in history. All the revolutions that have taken place so far were either dependent on the East or the West. All of them suffered from many big problems. However, the revolution in Iran is not dependent; it is not a revolution by government, army or party; it is a revolution by the people, inspired by Islam. It is an Islamic revolution like other revolutions carried out by prophets throughout history, without any form of dependence except on the source of revelation and on God Almightly.

Since the outset of the revolution and earlier days when the foundation of the revolution was laid, it has pursed the path of prophets and the right path; it was dependent on neither the East nor the West. It is just an Islamic Republic. Up to now, our nation has continued with their fidelity to the same path no matter how unpleasant and bitter things they have experienced. This path has been kept; it is moving ahead with more strength. Whenever something happens to undermine the nation, God brings forth something which makes the nation stronger and more alert and more harmonious.

Of course, what has happened to us throughout the revolution, especially during these last months is unpleasant for us and mournful for our people because each one of the individuals we have lost was an asset for the country and for Islam. Each one of them was like a whole society in himself and committed to God. Each one of those who were martyred on seventh of Tir and those who were martyred lately was an extremely valuable servant for the nation, being like a whole society in himself, committed to and believing in Islam.

Nevertheless, with the loss of each one of them, our nation grew stronger and more harmonious; they got to be more wakeful and became more aware of the evil intentions of the big powers and the parasites working for them.

Those who claimed to be servants and devotees of people proved to be criminals who are against the people and who have so far worked for the big powers. Therefore, we see that when some of them were sentenced to death in the former regime, the big powers averted their death sentences. When they suffer defeat here and flee the country, the world governments, superpowers and propaganda machinery support them, urging them to struggle against Iran. This made it clear for our nation that those who claimed that they wanted to work for freedom of Iran, for removing the problems of Iran and for Iran's independence are making empty claims. They were unmasked amid the way. All their claims were rendered null and void and they dug their own graves, and feel from grace among people. All these claims made long time ago and lately were false and generated conditions in which they dug their own graves. They have lost their image and prestige. The more foreign propaganda increases in their favor, the more they lose their prestige and the more they indulge in sabotage inside the country, assassinate the dear people of this country or burn the corps, thus unmasking their true image.

Our people are committed conscious and will not be impressed by evil propaganda launched by the opponents of Islam in all foreign countries. I hope that these propaganda operations will not produce any effect on other nations. These propaganda compaigns have been luanched against our country because they are afraid that this revolution may find its way into other places. I hope that nations will wake up and notice that all these propaganda ploys are meant to stifle Islam right here and not to let Islam find reality in other places as it is and in the sense of" neither East nor West." For this reason, our nation has stood firm and resulte to defend the interests of Islam and whoever is martyred, this nation will not lose hope; rather they will become more harmonious and spiritually stronger. Similarly, at the outset of Islam martyrdom of those committed individuals made the people and the army stronger and they pushed ahead. Our nation seeks nothing except Islam trusts God, moves ahead in the divine direction; therefoe, they have to cast aside material things that may discourage them. God willing, all the mass and sabotages that are prevelant in Iran will be removed through legal mechanisms.

I would like to say a word to draw the attention of all the courts and all those in charge of affairs that they should not lose their control and overstep God's decree and Islamic law in dealing with the michiefs made in Iran, like the tragic recent event in which two «1» of the best young men were martyred. Beware of treating the captives and prisoners of war and prisoners violently and God forbid, arresting innocent people.

Muslims should calmly continue with their work as prescribed in Islam; treat the captives kindly and based on what Islamic law demands. Never treat them in an angry, hasty manner; treat them calmly and in accordance with legal and Islamic standards. Beware lest martyrdom of our dear ones makes you act more violently than you should. Try to treat prisoners of war and other captive in a decent, good manner. Courts should powerfully carry on with their duties. The nation should powerfully and vigilently inform the courts and police authorities about the plotters. They should act according to Islamic-legal standards and impose the right penalty to the corrupt ones and release the innocent ones. Anyway, the treatment should be Islamic. The republic is Islamic and the behavior even toward those who have been identified as killers should be Islamic, even though they should be dealt with firmy; they should be punished as much as they deserve but not unduly.

I hope that God will look after this nation which has suffered oppression throughout history and wants to be relieved of tyranny and oppression of the superpowers and which is under attack from the superpowers and their agents. May God save the nation from the evil of the enemies of Islam and humanity. May God grant success to all Muslims in implementing the Islamic rules and in driving out the opponents of Islam from the scence.
