No compromise with any of the superpowers
Right from the beginning of our struggle, the Palestinian and Lebanese causes have always been an integral part of our objectives, not seperable from Iran's concerns. On the whole, a Muslim should not simply take care of a certain sect of Muslims. Mr. Mousa Sard is one of my sons. I regret his loss. I have taken steps whether in Najaf or in Iran and hope we will see him among us as soon as possible.
Since the region is on the threshold of a general Islamic movement, America has worked out schemes so as to curb the hands of the defenseless people of the region away from their destiny. Unfortunately, some states help them; Fahad and Sadat's «1» plan is one of them. Assuming that American plan is completely Islamic, we can not believe that they take a step in the direction of peace and our interests. If America and Israel bear witness that" there is no God but God" we will not accept, because they want to deceive us. Those who talk about peace want to drag the whole region into war. Do you expect us to remain indifferent towards America, Israel and other superpowers that want to swallow the region? No, we will never reach a compromise with any of the superpowers; we will be under neither American domination nor Soviet Union's. We are Muslims and want to live. We want to live a humble life, but be free and independent. We do not want the progress and civilization that causes us to stretch out our hands towards foreigners. We want a civilization resting on dignity and humanity, which can keep peace. The superpowers want to bring humanity under their domination. We, you and every Muslim are bound to stand up against them and not to compromise with them and reject plans like that of Sadat and Fahad. It is incumbent upon us to condemn such proposals which are not in the best interest of the oppressed people.
I assure you that our concerns are inseparable from yours. But you know very well that America and its internal agents did not leave us alone for a moment. Therefore, if we did not help you properly, it was because we were entangled with these criminals. We consider Lebanon as ours. Shi`ites in Lebanon and Iran and all Muslims of the world are one and the same. We hope to keep our unity.
The point I want to remind you of is that you should not listen to the idea that" it is not possible to encounter the superpowers". You can do if you want, because God supports you. This concept, raised by the superpowers through their agents, that you can not go on with your life unless you lean on either of the two superpowers is completely wrong. Stand on your own feet and stay firm and steadfast with God. Strive to progress in humanity before any other progress. In this case, God will help us maintain our independence, freedom and Islam. God willing you are successful.
