Propaganda, the basis of harmony of a nation
As you know, the question of propaganda is very important. Unfortunately, I should say that since the beginning of the revolution till now, our propaganda outside Iran has been nil. Just inside the country we have kept telling things to one another. Do you know that everyday in the outside world the Iranian government and nation are presented as monsters? Of course, they are spreading propaganda against us while they know that we are not like this, but since they have lost all about humanity, they see us as monsters. Unfortunately, they spread such propaganda to those who know nothing. However, we are not thinking of a way out; our embassies have not done anything nor can they do anything under the present circumstances.
The thing that you want to follow up is the coordination among all institutions. This is very important. You should feel that it is in the interest of our religion, school of thought and country when all go after carrying out a job. Obviously, if each group does something, though it might not face any disagreement at the initial stages, it will encounter opposition in the long run. Since propaganda is the basis of any work and can either make for disintegration or harmony of a nation, you should maintain your harmony and unity. We can only be victorious by maintaining unity and harmony; otherwise, we will collapse and once again come under the domination of another power.
The government, the parliament and, above all, you should be harmonious. Try not to make disagreement among groups the basis of disagreement in propaganda. Your should serve Islam and in this way you will not have disagreement. Discord belongs to the devil; there is discord among these working God. If all the groups work for God and consult with one another and cooperate with those who have more information, they might be able to give the propaganda a new lease on life. Today, newspapers and radios are always attacking us. You should also do something to counteract their propaganda. The main point is that everyone should carry out one's duty towards God; otherwise, if one wants to refrain from one's duty, one will be defeated right from the beginning.
I call upon all of you and draw your attention to the fact that Islamic books should be published. May God grant you the reward of the real messengers, namely prophets. God willing, you will be successful.
