Endless salutations to the great Iranian nation people who have bravely resisted against every event and threat, and have been ready to sacrifice their lives and property in the cause of the Exalted God and the Islamic Republic which is committed to putting into effect the illuminating and progressive Islamic rules. Salutations to the armed forces and combatants who are looking forward to meeting God and who keep on fighting along the holy path with love and enthusiasm. They fight for their beloved country with everything they have in the front and behind the front till final victory. May God's peace and mercy be upon the Basij forces who rightly back the Islamic Revolution and who continue with their valuable efforts. Thank God, with the effort of the brave youths and volunteers, two million combatants have been trained. I hope that with the active participation of devoted people we will have a 20- million strong army to safeguard the Islamic Republic and the beloved country, protecting it against the dangers of the transgressing superpowers.
Dear great youths! You should know that preserving and safeguarding Islam, the Islamic country and the religion of truth is a great act of worship for which great prophets and saints (may God's salutations and peace be upon them) have done their utmost and made every sacrifices since creation till now. Training and teaching military tactics for this purpose is among the highest values, and as ling as you youths, and other strata of people are present with such enthusiasm and awareness, no harm will come to the country and the Islamic Republic.
You, the great nation, who want to defend God's religion and the country of the Imam of the Time (may our souls be sacrificed for him) rest assured that the hand of the Omnipotent God will protect you and His prescient Providence will render ineffective the seditions of villains and conspiracies of the East and the West.
Dear nation, as the satanic powers on every side are aiming at bringing the downfall of the Islamic Republic because they no longer have access to money of this oppressed nation, we must all do our best to overcome the problems of the beloved country and make every effort to further the goals of Islam. Every group in every position should work towards this sublime Islamic goal.
In passing legislations submitted to them by organs, parliamentarians should hasten to scrutinize them and take into account the Islamic standards. They should invite and consult specialists whenever there is a need to examine some points. The Guardian Council should supervise the laws that are passed and should give their view with respect to religious primary or secondary laws. They should consider all aspects. Statesmen should hasten to enforce the above-mentioned laws. In case of encroachment of any law by whatever stratum or group, the violator should be taken in to courts to get their penalty. The judiciary with its hard and valuable task should resolve the major problems of the judicial branch in a speedy way and should bring to court anyone in breach of law to get their penalty. The combatants, military and paramilitary forces, committees and popular forces from different strata should make efforts in furthering the war in the fronts and to put a curb on the evil acts of the hypocrites and deviants by enlisting the aid of information passed to them by two million committed people who are working hard day and night. The Reconstruction Jihad, the Foundation of the Deprived and those in charge of the affairs of the war-stricken and the displaced should increase their active power. I congratulate the Iranian nation and the committed and faithful youth on this anniversary, and should increase their commendable efforts in training and educating the youths and teenagers. Committed writers, intellectuals and mass media should augment their propaganda operations to counteract the massive propaganda of the enemies of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The Cultural Revolution Council should make efforts to reopen the universities with the help of the oppressed people and the scientists, and to consult the scholars about this vital issue. The honorable nation should be harmonious with those in charge to tackle all the war, military, economic and cultural problems.
The holy theological seminaries all over the country should make more efforts in training religious judges, preachers, jurists and scholars because need for this class is greater than ever before. Therefore, seminaries should focus their attention on them. Spiritual leaders, Friday prayer leaders and respected preachers should step up their efforts to guide people. They should make people aware of the ways and means to safeguard Islam and the Islamic republic and remind the committed masses of people to participate in the military, economic, social and cultural affairs of the country. Advise people to help with the economy of the country, which is our most important concern today, by avoiding frugality and dissipation. People should deposit their money in state banks so as to keep the economic wheel of the country spinning. This is one way they help the Islamic government. People should not forget to help with the war and the war-stricken people. Be diligent in taking part in Basij and work hard to educate and train people to safeguard the beloved Islam.
In a nutshell, today the Exalted God has entrusted the Iranian nation with the Islamic Republic. We are all responsible for keeping this trust and all people must trust in the Exalted God, observe unity of expression and avoid dispute. We should safeguard the Islamic Republic and continue with our straight human and Islamic path by the grace of God.
I beseech God to grant success to all in serving His creatures and the holy religion.
