[Imam Khomeini in meeting with the `ulama' of Tabriz along with Ayatullah Malakouti, Friday prayer leader of the city once more underlined the role of the clergies and provided guidelines, saying:]
The clergies should continue consulting each other in performing their tasks; if there is any problem, they should solve it themselves and should not let anything come about between them and the people.
