Speech [Furthering movement of the prophets through guiding and saving man for darkness]

In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Reciprocally, I congratulate all the clergies, Iranian nation, the government of Iran and all Muslims of the world on the happy feast of the birth anniversary of two great Islamic figures. This is a blessed day and it will a blessed day when we can build ourselves by ourselves and then build this country. Every reform has man as its starting point. Because if man himself is not educated, he cannot educate and train others. You saw that during long years of monarchy, and especially during the time of the last two monarchs which most of you experienced all and some of you parts, since people who were at the helm did not have Islamic upbringing and were not refined themselves, they pushed back our country and nation so hard that it may take years for thing to be reformed. For this reason, we should all start with ourselves and we should not be content with appearance; we should start from our hearts and minds; everyday we must go after this so that the next day we are better than the day before. I hope that this struggle with ourselves will happen to all of us. We should then struggle to build the country. We can celebrate this day when we experience a genuine life of welfare for our oppressed people. We should train them in a correct Islamic way.

You see this is a responsibility we have to shoulder. Reform of the government, the administration and society and also reconstruction are the responsibilities that we and you who are at the helm have to assume. If you do not make great effort, and do not try to solve the problems in ministries or various departments ruthlessly, and if there some who do not want to see things done in line with Islam and humanity, we will move backwards. With all your power you should purge the administrations, not purging every perverted individual but purge in the sense of disciplining and purging those who have not perceived the Islamic issues. Islam has brought everything for us and we should make use of it. Today is the day we should make use of it. It was Islam that enabled us to overcome big problems. None of us could do this. It is Islam that has harmonized the nation as is being reflected in other places.

We hope that, God willing, this light of Islam will shine in all Islamic countries and all oppressed countries. God willing, all will be brought up in line with the aspirations of Islam and the Messenger of Islam. The Messenger of Islam felt sad when people were not trained so mush so that God had to comfort him; he was in hardship when God addressed him saying that we did not send the Qur'an for you to be in hardship. «1» He felt pity sad for nations just like a kind father would feel for his children. He felt so for the unbelievers when he saw that they were running counter to the nature of human being. He felt sorry for them. Every human being should be such as to feel sorry for those who are not in line with Islam and humanity.

From what I heard some great clergies say that I pray for the perverted ones more. The reason for this is that they need it more. The hearts of human beings particularly the committed ones are kind and generous with all humanity. All the wars that the Messengers fought or were forced or sometimes just happened right from the beginning were the work of the divine mercy; because they were meant to discipline a given nation, those who are not disciplined must be disciplined, and those who stand in the way of refining other nations must be shoved aside. This is mercy which, in the face of it, may seem to be massacre, but in reality it's meant to get rid of obstacles on the way of humanity. In Iran as you see that everywhere they are saying we kill people, they think that we will kill people here, but actually we have not killed a single human being, if Iran gets attacked by a savage who attacks everything Islamic, nation and humanity, he must be refined if they can or he must be kept in prison till he is refined and if it does not work out then he must be down away with. This is what the prophets have done right from the beginning of creation up to now; those who were incorrigible were either drowned or eliminated.

At any rate, all the prophets from the dawn of creation till now have always been manifestation of mercy from God. Therefore, being is a manifestation of the mercy of the Exalted God. In the same way, God's guidance through the prophets is a mercy to all. The Messenger is a mercy to the whole world and all the prophets were mercy. This is because man is ignorant and does not know what is happening and what will happen to him if he does not go through the path of humanity. For this reason, those who know the way understand that corrupt actions and thoughts can brig troubles and difficulties for man. Everything is from the person, nothing has been prepared from advance to torment and torture us, we provide things ourselves. Everything we do here has a copy in hell and another in heaven; we will get it; this is what a misdeed is and what a good deed is. Therefore, prophets and saints who knew the ways and the consequences of people felt sad for humanity and sacrificed themselves to save the people.

One is self-sacrificing and another is engaged in activities to obtain one's purpose by luring people into evildoing and by persuading the youths into being killed so that later he will be able to rule. This is one way. Another way is to sacrifice everything one has to refine humans. Prophets were like that. Prophets did not spend a single day for themselves. Not a single day were they wrapped up in themselves, they focused on saving those sick ones who were destroying themselves and taking a way with bad consequences. Though we are too small to say that prophets did this so we want to do it, we too should engage in activities to save our own nation and other nations from darkness and afflictions befallen them. We should be serious about training whoever is against us and is unaware, especially those green youths, those girls and those boys who were led astray by the cruel ones. Whoever talks about them should talk about how to get them back on the right track and train them. Those who are in prison should be trained. Prophets were after refining and training. They came to build humanity; they did not have any other work to do. They came to guide those who are going against the right path and put them back on the straight path.

I hope this feast will be blessed for all Muslims and for all oppressed people and for the honorable nation of Iran. Thank God, we have a good nation and a good government. We have everything. Our parliament, our government and our judiciary are all good; we want them to be better. You too want it to be better. I hope that all of them with this harmony in place now and the God's gift that he has granted us and I do not think that since the beginning up to now there has been a parliament like ours which is full of rapport and fraternity. All the representations are together, discuss issues and and find solutions to problems. I do not think there has ever been such a thing which is a gift from God and I hope we appreciate this gift. To show our gratitude for this gift, we should work for Islam and God. All our efforts should be directed to saving this nation, especially the oppressed people as they have suffered for a long time. God willing, we will uplift them to a level of welfare in both worlds.
