Dependence, source of troubles

I appreciate the brothers and sisters who took the trouble and came here. I pray for all of you. May God make you successful in serving the country that was subjected to oppression in the course of history but has now fallen into your own hand! The issues highlighted by the Minister «1» including the question of dependence of planes on foreign countries are not exclusive to planes. You know that all our troubles and failure of Muslim countries in progress has been due to dependencies on foreign powers. They had a hand everywhere and in any organization you notice. Bad agents, bad parliament and bad leaders caused all the problems. They were opposed to our nation and favored our dependence on foreign powers. In fact, Iran was a colony, which was apparently dependent and actually dependent on foreigners in every respect. Today, when, thank God, the country has stood on its own feet thanks to the efforts of all strata of the nation and all layers of people have become active, you see the difference in every department and organization. All these improvements are because the country is in your own hand. You have intellectual independence and independence in action. You are serving your country. The issues stated by the Minister of Roads prompts me to appreciate the aviation personnel and you gentlemen. The important thing is that you are not dependent today. The progress you have made compared to the former regime when the aviation could not transport 40 thousand pilgrims and had to seek help from others for transporting half of the pilgrims is because at that time people's thought did not function. Others thought for you. They wanted us to remain backward. They did not want us to make progress. The advisors coming here from the US and elsewhere apparently came for guiding you but actually intending to prevent you from progress and setting your thought in motion. Now that you see you can transport 140 thousand or more pilgrims in a few days and have broken the record in the world in this respect it is because you yourselves work. You feel the country is yours. When one sees that one cannot manage on one's own and is pushed around by one who wants to lord and in the name of serving people forcing people to serve them, the people will be dispirited. On the one hand, they do not let you to access fundamental requirements and, on the other, you see your efforts are in fact aimed to serve foreigners.

Service and effort depends on reliving of dependency

We should thank God for favoring us to entrust the country to people. In those days Iran was fully dependent on foreign countries, which did not permit your thought to work and did not let the craftsmen work independently. However, today, the Blessed and Almighty God has entrusted you with the country and you are serving your own country. I hope you will multiply your services. You should bear this in mind. Today you are almost alone. Your country today is alone among other countries. All countries excluding a few are against us. Despite the fact that all are against us, since the country and people are believers and hold that they should resolve the problems with the grace of God, thoughts were activated and activities launched. At present Iran is more advanced than the time when those hue and cries were raised for the self-proclaimed great civilization. What counts is that we are now independent. No country in the world can today insult even our scavenger. You are now independent and your own master. Islam is against class society and does not let a certain class to dominate the society and condemn the other. In Islam all are servant and people should cooperate with those who serve. Our government is a service-rendering government, so is our Majlis and our president. Islam has prescribed a society in which there is no class distinction." Lo! the noblest of you, in the sight of Allah, is the best in conduct." «2» One who is more pious, one who is more God-fearing and one who serves God is preferred. I hope that you would make efforts to enter the pious population that God Almighty says:" The noblest of you, in the sight of Allah, is the best in conduct." You should also try to be like them."

Need to prevent insulting events

A point that I would like to mention is that there are hands everywhere trying to inflict blow at you and your country. You see the country that claims to be the center of human civilization and wherefrom civilization has originated and permeated everywhere else- France- is today a haven for terrorists. These terrorists admit that they have been involved in the killings and blasts. «3» A country whose people should be so and so, whose government is such and such and haven for the corrupt, terrorist and criminal and at the same time make such and such claims condemns the hijacking and encourages the hijackers if they are from Iran. You should notice and move in a way that you would not be subjected to their aggression. If you noticed that pasdars and the government came to terms on installing persons in planes or frisking the passengers, this should not concern you. This should cause you to feel proud, because we do not intent to insult people but want not to let you to be insulted. The government wants to protect you against insult. When your plane is hijacked, this is an insult to aviation. Therefore, if individuals wanted to frisk you, you should not be chagrined. You should even encourage them lest bad individuals should be, God forbid, found to cause your concern and affront you. I implore God Almighty to protect you all. I appreciate you for being so active and pushing forward the case in this way, advancing the case of aviation so well and grandly. I hope you would do more efficiently.
May God's peace, mercy and blessings be upon you!
