In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful
A subject that I should bring to the notice of people, particularly those who are involved in the affairs of the country and government is that the Judiciary is an independent power. Independence signifies that if a judge issued a verdict, no one, even a mujtahid (an authority on divine law) has the right to interfere in the ruling or break it. No one has the right to intervene in judicial affairs. Intervention is against canon and renege of the verdict of a judge is also against canon.
I tell the people that I know the members of the council since years ago and they are competent for the post. If they issue an order or writ, no one has the right to launch smear campaign in newspapers, speeches or among people. Weakening the Judiciary is not advisable; the Judiciary should be strengthened.
Let me reiterate that judicial independence signifies that if a judge issued a verdict, occasionally the verdict could be scrutinized by the competent authority and other than this authority no one has the right to intervene. I hope that the gentlemen in the Judiciary are successful in acting competently and powerfully. I further hope that the nation, Majlis and government support them so that no damage is inflicted on Judiciary.
May God's peace, mercy and blessings be upon you!
