Speech [Guarding the rightful religion - description of the factors responsible for defeat and victory]

In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful

I hope that this great feast will be happy to you all, the entire nation, the Muslims of the world and oppressed people of the world. I hope God makes this noble birth which is the origin of all good in the course of history happy for us. I have a few words to say to the gentlemen. From the beginning to the end and to the time of Immaculate Imams and saints from the outset to the end, all were guardians of Islam and the rightful religion. In all ages, the right religion has been Islam and submission to the Throne of God Almighty. They did not simply make verbal propagation to guard the religion, but what counts was their practical propagation. That is, their deeds in the course of history should be set as model for us and all human beings for good. When we observe the life style of prophets, we see that they have lost everything in the cause of this safeguard. In the course of history, they have sustained numerous difficulties. If the same situation that happened for the Doyen of Martyrs had happened for other Imams, they would make similar sacrifices. However, epochs were different and circumstances differed as well. The purpose was to preserve Islam, the commands of God and propagation of knowledge and monotheism. In other words, they came to help man mend his way. Basically, prophets were delegated to make real human beings.

Prophets were sent to deliver man whom Satan had sworn to tempt from Satan's temptations and invite man to the straight path of humanity, also showing in practice what the path is, how man can stand against the evils, whether human evils or non-human evils. Man was invited to make practice to resist non-human evils and do good acts and make endeavor to advance the purposes in the face of satanic human beings.

I do not imagine that the world has had as many Satan as in the age we are living in. Of course, there has been Stan at all ages, human Satan has existed in the course of history. However, whatever the world has improved, the evils have also improved in their satanic acts. Today, when is called the age of civilization, progress and advancement, is in fact the age of evils. If you look at the world, the world is in the hands of evils. There is a few exception. With their satanic tricks and the satanic tools at their command, they have taken possession of everywhere and are in a position of advancement, committing plots every day. Against such enormous plot and such trained evils and the evils of the age of civilization one should revolt. In the same that grand prophets and immaculate Imams revolted and made sacrifices, human beings in this era, all of you, all of us, all the clerics, all nations and all oppressed people of history should rise up and stand against these evils. If one acts sluggishly, the evils will devour the entire world. Under the name of peace and friendship, they are the first and foremost warmongers of the world. Under the name of human rights, they are the ones who indulge in trampling human rights. Why paying lip service for doing well, what they want for others is nothing but evil. They want everything for themselves and trample upon others.

At such an era when the world is teeming with the wicked and oppressors, such a development occurred in Iran by the grace of God Almighty. Such a favor was made on the part of God Almighty, transforming this nation from the situation it had in the past into one it has today. Know that whatever propaganda efforts are launched against you by the world and the evils, this is indicative of your power. If you were not a powerful nation, they would not bother you due to Islam and the real guards of Islam. The volume of propaganda you observe in the world, whenever one turns on the foreign radios, you see evil propaganda is being aired against Iran though in different forms. It is because that they came to realize there is power here, because they sensed some threat from your young adults; they sensed a threat from you armed forces. It is because of this feeling of threat that they have

All the propaganda operations launched against you young adults, indeed against Islam, are because they have felt a sense of threat by a power here and this power is not from you and me. We should feel this notion. This power stems from the source of power. The power enjoyed by prophets was not from prophets. Man is nothing from beginning to end. What prevails is the power of God. Any act you do is done with God's power. Any bullet you shout is fired with the power of God. Your hand pulls the trigger with the power of God. Your thought carries out the military and non-military works with the power of God. Power vests in Him and all are from Him. Everything is from Him. All praise is due to Him. You and we think that now Iran has a power, but this power emerging here is from God. You should appreciate that you are proceeding with the power of God and that you are traversing this path with the power of God and subject to the chosen ones on top of whom stand the prophets. It is from God that you are moving with the idea to solidify the laws of Islam and remove oppression from the oppressed people. When you had nothing and all powers were in the hands of the regime and when all powers struggled to retain him, you young adults took to the streets and did something that even American power could not keep this regime. With all forces, they sought to keep him; they resorted to all ruses to keep him, but your power did not let this happen. This power comes because from the beginning you did not seek" I"; you struggled and sought Islam and Islamic country.

If God forbid army is supposed to say" I", sepah to say" I" and Basij to say" I", that day your knell will be rung. It is that day that you would God forbid abandon your integrity and oneness. You are a single hand working to protect your country and Islam. As long as you are one, this oneness no one can break. The day when you are dispersed, hundreds of millions of people who think by oneself and separately, each struggling to work for one's own selfish interests, these efforts would worth nothing (not a coin). When there are a few people but united and working not for them but for higher purposes, for their country, for their Islam, they would reach the destination. If all of them together move towards a destination, they would reach the destination however small they would be in number. Population of Iran compared to the world's is nothing. The figure is some 45 or so million or something like this. Compared to the populations of the world such as China with one billion population and India over 800 million population, we are nothing. Nevertheless, since you have discarded" I" and say" we for God", you will be safe. You do not say that army should do something for a" badge"; you do not argue that sepah should be given a" badge". Basij or comite or police or municipality does not complain of not obtaining so and so. You say we want badge from God and that we are all one entity. If this concept is preserved among you, you would be safe to the end. No one can do any harm to you. These big powers also understand this notion that today Iran is in such condition that it is not possible to defeat it in any way. Neither by coup, nor other things such as military attack can Iran be defeated. They thought out to infiltrate among you and divide you even though it might take a long time. They are patient and sow a seed to reap it after fifty years. If you noticed that they have once sown a seed to reap after fifty years, you should nip it in the bud. If you saw once that there is murmurs that army argues that army should be so and so and sepah states that sepah is so and so and others follow suit and speak of division and if, God forbid, there emerges murmurs of two thoughts and two destinations among you, you should stifle it from the beginning. Do not let such ideas to take root. The commanders of sepah should lend ear to these concepts. The army commanders and other places set this notion before their eyes that as long as we are together and as long as Muslims are a" single hand" and the Muslims with small population but with great divinely support are unified and if this nation are together, no power can break them.

All of you should think of and seek to preserve your brotherhood and foster amity among you. The clerics should contemplate developing brotherhood and preserve the nation. The nation should also consider accompanying the clerics. As long as this situation prevails among you, you will be victorious. If God forbid a day this secret of victory is stripped of you, nothing will remain for you. Then there will be no much need to smosh you. A small coup made by a munafiq (hypocrite) will put an end to you. You should bear in mind that you have strengthened Islam in the world. The cry for Islam now raising in the world is a ray released from Iran. Formerly, there was no talk of this. From here this ray has been released; this ray will do its work everywhere. You should keep this source, preserve this center and yourselves. Turn down the evils from men and jinn struggling to

dominate us so that God Almighty multiply His favors and you would be victorious and help the oppressed people to be victorious.

I thank you dear youth and all those who sacrificed everything in the cause of Islam. My appreciation is nothing; God Almighty will thank you.
